Home insurance still has growth potential in our country, according to a study on brand awareness of home insurance in Spain conducted by Tuio with more than 900 online interviews through a Netquest panel of people between 25 and 60 years old.
Thus, 74% of those interviewed have taken out home insurance; 8% do not have it, but have had it in the past and 5% have never taken it out, but intend to do so. Only 13% do not have home insurance and do not plan to take it out. In other words, 26% of Spaniards say that they do not have Home Insurance.
7% don’t know their insurer
On average, Spaniards know 8 home insurance companies. n spite of this, 7% of those surveyed say that they do not remember which insurer they have taken out their Home insurance with. In many cases, people who do not remember with whom they have taken out their Home insurance is because they have never needed it or they did not take it out themselves. On other occasions it is because they took it out with their bank when they signed their home mortgage.
Transparency is the most important contract driver for Spaniards, for example, that the insurer informs you in a simple way, without small print and with clear numbers. And so is being able to count on advice at the time of the claim.
These preferences change by region. The fact that a company is 100% digital is more important when taking out home insurance in Castilla y León, while the absence of permanence is more important in the Community of Madrid.
